Painting course

Vincent diFate has been helping me with my painting. Here are two assignments I recently completed. Vincent is not responsible for the content or quality (okay Vin, you're covered).

Profiles in Perniciousness No. 4

John McCain can't seem to leave the jungles of Vietnam behind him. He wants to continue this war in Iraq to some how vindicate the U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Repeating those mistakes is not the answer to our foreign policy dilemma and must not be the agenda for America.

This ultra-wealthy man would have us believe he is a fighter for the 'every man' with rallying cries of socialism. 'Don't share my wealth' is what he is really saying. He should have thought more about these ideas before he decided to ride Bush's coatails through the mud. To quote the Michelin Man "It's time to retire."

Palin's Library

I made a brief departure from my portraits because of the upcoming elections. Republican nominee Sarah Palin is cutting down government spending AND reducing our need for foreign oil all in one shot with her "Books for Heat" program. According to the library minutes in Wassilla, Alaska then Mayor Palin wanted many of the books banned such as "Harry Potter", "Catch-22", the dictionary (?) and many others including those highlighted in my piece.

For more on this go to the Library Journal website or read the orginal article from the Frontiersman.
